Menlove’s late Goal

Boston had great difficuly in beating Denaby at Boston, and but for a lucky goal, three minutes from the end would have had a point.
After 25 minutes Boston were two goals ahead, scored by Kitching and Menlove, but Denaby quickly improved and attacked on the left. From a corner by Skeels, Hancock reduced the lead, and three minutes later Mace equalised.
Denaby pressed up to the interval and several times went near to scoring.
After the interval Boston pressed consistently, but the Denaby defence crowded the goal in an effective manner. They held on until three minutes from time when Menlove made a fine individual effort and beat Bromage easily.
