July
In July 1967 a Conisbrough teacher is to be married in Spain with the relatives wedding party in Conisbrough !
Morley Place students hit the headlines with a series of ‘request’ concerts
there are Rose Queens at Rowena, Old Denaby and the Girls Friendly Society
The scouts are at Swinton and the Brownies are going Dutch

August
In August 1967 the Denaby Ings has become a Nature Reserve

October
In October 1967 The Denaby Comrades Club is opened, the Women’s Club hold their Autumn Fair and the Baptist Church their Harvest Festival

A Denaby man gets an Award for 20 Years Army service and the SJAB Corps Superintendent retires after 45 years
There’s a tragic story of a bride of 18 months, who dies suddenly from a brain haemorrhage

November
In November 1967 the Prime Minister visited Conisbrough
and the Mona was providing top entertainment and the extension of its ‘Beat Nite’
There was a sensational incident at Cardiff when a Conisbrough teenager was accused of murdering his step grandfather
There was arson at the Mission and discoloured water flows from the Conisbrough taps
Ellershaw Crusaders have to stop playing to let shoppers cross during their games

December
In December 1967 a Conisbrough Labourer received a life sentence for killing his Step Grandfather
and a Conisbrough family were planning a new life in Australia
There was a debate about the existence of God by the Conisbrough and Denaby Youth Club and Wrestling at the Welfare on behalf of the Tom Hill Youth Club
There are Nativity plays at St Albans and Balby Street, and Christmas events for the Baptist Church and Colliery and Annerley Street Pensioners,
and Dinners for the Catholic Mothers and Cricket Clubs
United are knocked out of the Cups in December and finish with a stirring performance against local rivals, Mexborough Town
