Accident on Low Road

When 76 years old Mr Fred Pitt-Pladdy, Low Road, Conisbrough, was knocked down by a pedal cyclist in Castle Side Lane, Low Road, Conisbrough on Friday, he received lacerations of the left eye and the right cheek.

The cyclists Wilfred Maxwell (44) of 13 June Street, Conisbrough, fractured his elbow.

Mr PPitt-Pladdy, was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary

Accident on Sheffield Road

Conisbrough Police were this week seeking assistance in connection with a road accident on the main Sheffield – Doncaster Road at Conisbrough last Thursday night, which in 80 years old Conisbrough girl, Sheila Law, 27 New Hill was injured. She was detained in Doncaster hospital with a fractured pelvis.

The police said “We are trying to trace a young lady was believed to have got off a boss at the same time as Sheila Lowe, stepped onto the crossing and back again and might probably have witnessed the accident. We should like to contact her or anyone else who might have witnessed the accident job was in the evidence.”

Anyone who might be able to help has been asked to contact the Police, or any other police station. The police said they have one witness of the accident at the moment.
