Shopping In Conisbrough and Denaby.
Bill Oxby’s
Another recently opened shop is that of Bill Oxby’s. Opened about 15 months ago, the shop in High Street, Conisbrough is run by Mr. Oxby’s daughter-in-law and son, Mr. and Mrs. John Oxby, and sells crockery, fancy goods, hardware, cutlery ‘You name it – we sell it,’ Mrs. Oxby put it.
Oxby’s shop has found, that trade is good, especially in the fancy goods line – with so many weddings taking place – for one of the main things it can offer is that it competes with market prices, so that even if one were to travel to Doncaster, the prices of the goods in the market would be the same.
