Denaby Woman’s Sudden Death
Yesterday at the Reresby Arms, Denaby, Mr D Wightman, coroner, held an inquest concerning the death of Sarah Jane Brocklehurst (34), wife of James Brocklehurst, miner, Braithwell Street, Denaby.
The husband said deceased spent Christmas with some relations at Macclesfield. She returned on New Year’s Eve, and the matter at Mexborough station.
She appeared to be all right until they got home, when, after kissing the children, she took off her hat and sat down in a chair. With the words, “Oh, I do feel faint,” she immediately expired.
Dr Twigg, who had made a post-mortem examination, attributed death to valvular disease of the heart, and a verdict in accordance was returned.
