Denaby’s New Players
Denaby United who figure in a precarious position in the Midland league, are making a strong effort to climb the league table by securing fresh players.
Their latest captures are L Massarella and G E Bellamy, two local juniors of distinct promise.
Massarella hails from Bentley, and has had trials with Doncaster Rovers Reserves.
He can play as at outside right or centre forward, but will occupy the formal position with Denaby. He is 19 years of age, weighs 11st 8 lbs and stands 5ft 8ins.
After having two trials the club secured the signature of GE Bellamy, an 18 year old inside left from darter, in the Barnsley area. The player of distinct promise, he stands 5ft 7in and weighs 11st 9lbs.
Denaby can now claim to have the younger set of players in the league for the average age of nine of their players is only 18.
