Doncaster West Riding Police Court.
Neglecting to Maintain His Wife.
At the above Court, on Saturday, James Ragell, collier, Denaby, was summoned for neglecting to maintain his wife.
Defendant stated he went away to seek work, and his wife told him she would go to her father’s, who would be compelled to get some assistance if he did not.
He added that he did not know till arrested that his wife was being relieved by the parish.
Promising to refund the amount paid to his wife and to pay the costs he was discharged.
