Kicked a Policeman At Denaby
Yesterday, George Henry Goulding, collier, of Denaby, was charged at the West Riding Court, Doncaster, with being drunk and disorderly and assaulting P.-c. Rutter, at Denaby, Saturday night.
The man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly, and became very rough, striking the officer the mouth and kicking him on the legs and body.
Prisoner accused the constable, Rutter and Lockwood, of ill using him, saying the marks on his face were caused by them.
Prisoner, who had a couple of black eyes and a damaged nose, was fined 2s. 6d. and costs for being drunk and disorderly, and sent to prison for month for the assault.
