Fatal Pit Accident.
An inquest was held at the Doncaster Workhouse on Saturday on Joseph Westwood, aged 60, formerly of 62, Clifton Terrace, Denaby, who met with an accident in the pit on August 12, 1915, and sustained a fracture of the spine.
He was taken to the Denaby Cottage Hospital, for treatment, and was transferred to the Doncaster Workhouse Infirmary on March 16. 1916, where he remained until his death on Thursday.
A verdict of accidental death was returned.
