Hospital Sunday at Conisborough.

Conisborough’s annual Hospital Sunday was favoured with fine weather yesterday.

The procession included the local fire brigades’ police, ambulance, and Boy Scouts’ brigades, local lodges of friendly societies, trade and labour organisations, and brass bands. They paraded the principal streets, and proceeded to the Sports Field, Park Road (kindly lent by Mr. Elliott), where the 19th open-air service of sacred music was held the band and chorus, conducted Mr. W. Barstow, being heard to advantage.

The speeches, like the financial proceeds, were in aid of the Doncaster Roval Infirmary, Mexborough Montagu Hospital and Denaby Main Fullerton Hospital, the claims of these institutions being put forward by Dr McClure, Mr. C. W. Whitworth (prospective Unionist candidate for the Doncaster Division! Messrs. F. Allen (Doncaster), H. Thompson (Mexborough), J. Brbcklesby, and Dr. Pain.

The Vicar the Rev. W. Strawbridge, opened the service with prayer, and Mr. John Clayton, chairman of the Mexborough Hospital Committee, presided.
