After The Wedding At Conisbro’.
At the West Riding Police Court, on Saturday, John Stafford, Sen., Thos. Thompson, Hannah Stafford, and Alice Thompson, were summoned for being drunk and disorderly near the Castle Grounds, on August 22.
The offence was admitted.
The defence was that there had been a wedding of one of the defendant’s daughters on the previous day, that a “jollification”‘ followed, that they “got over the mark,” and kept it up the next day. (Laughter.)
Fined £1 each, including costs.
