Denaby Main and Manvers Main “Top” Men.
There is a grievance still among the ” top ” men employed at the Denaby Main and Manvers Main Collieries, it being contended that the wages advance which is due is not being paid.
There was a meeting of the men at Mexbro’ on Tuesday night, and the matter was again discussed. The men are resolute in their demand for what they say is justlv due to them, and a delegate was appointed to attend the general meeting at Barnsley on Saturday next.
The ‘ top ” men are joining the Yorkshire Miners’ Association in large numbers, and they are sanguine of success if unity prevails among them.
