Conisborough Drunks
John Thomas Haigh, carter, Conisborough, was summoned for having been drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on July 21.
Police constable Thompson (41) stated that he saw the defendant in West Street nearly Alma Inn. He was very drunk and went into the in, but was turned out. The language he used was bad, and the officer had to threaten to lock him up.
Luther Wilson said the defendant was very drunk, and used filthy language.
Fined 10 shillings and costs.
John Gill, miner, Conisborough, was summoned for having been drunk and disorderly at that place of July 17.
Police constable Richardson said he and police constable Kilner found the defendant in a drunken condition in Denaby Road. They got him to go home, but he afterwards he came out stripped and wanted to fight.
Defendant did not appear, and he was fined five shillings and the costs.
