Card Playing at Conisborough
Thomas Walker, pony driver, Conisborough, and John Billingham, pony driver, of the same place, were summoned for gaming with cards at Conisborough on July 15
Billingham appeared and pleaded not guilty.
The case was stated by police constable Barnett, who said he saw the defendant gaming in Balby Street with other boys. He got three of them, and let Billingham go because he knew him, got the names and addresses of the other two. They gave a wrong name and he had been able to trace Walker only.
Billingham stated that he was not gaming, but he was in the street. He saw the policeman catch three boys.
He was fined 2s 6d
