Hickleton Combination Too Strong for Denaby
The Riley-Lockwood combination was too strong for Denaby, who were out in one hour and half for 68, J. Riley taking the last four wickets in five deliveries to perform the hat trick for the second time this season. His figures were 7 for 31 and Lockwood´s 3 for 31.
R. Burkinshaw and I. Greenwood Denaby´s opening pair, put on 15, and the only real opposition afterwards was put up by J. Wright (14) and C. Pegg (16).
Hickleton lost J. Hutchinson and W. Fawden with only eight on the board. J. Routledge joined by W. Robinson falling to Wathey for a well-hit 39. Routledge and Riley took the score to 69 for 3 the former carrying his bat for 16.
