Burglary.
Yesterday morning the manager of the pawnshop of David Haigh, Ltd., in West Street, noticed when first visiting the premises that a cellar grate was out of position.
Entering the shop, he found that a door had been forced with a crowbar and a case of jewellery rifled, a number of watches having been taken away.
