Letter From Iceland.
We have received a welcome letter from four soldiers in Iceland, Lance Corpl. H. Danford, Ptes. Harold Lapish, Arthur Prigmore and W. Danford, who call themselves the “four boys from Wath and Conisborough.”
The letter, which was dated November 15th. reads, “Just a line to show our appreciation of the °Times,’ which we receive very often out here in Iceland, which at the time of writing is a land of snow and ice and cold. In spite of all, that we are well equipped for the winter.
Our battalion has now been in Iceland for six months, after returning from Norway:
The peonle in Iceland are very friendly and we treat them with respect. They dress after the style of the American people. We’ll close now as it is getting quite dark; incidentally it is only three in the afternoon.
