In Malaya
News has been received by Mr. and Mrs. L. Lawcock, of Church Street, Conisbrough, that their only son,. Colin Edwin lawcock, is missing in Malaya, and the communication from the War Office points out he may be in enemy hands as a prisoner of war.
Colin, who Is 25, volunteered, for the Forces in March. 1940, and, after serving with the R.A.S.C., was transferred to the Royal Corps of Signals. He went abroad last Whitsuntide.
His parents have only had one letter from him since his arrival in Malaya. He married Miss Doris Smith, of Balby, in July, of last year, and before joining up was the proprietor of a drapery shop at Swinton.
