Denaby United Out of Debt.
It was reported at the Annual General Meeting of the Denaby United F.C. held in the Miners’ Welfare Institute, Denaby, yesterday, that there was a balance in hand of £14.
Tribute was paid to the splendid work of the officials, seeing they began the year’s working last March with a debt of over £100.
Of the £1,588 income, the “gates” produced £463, workmen’s contributions £600, transfer fee £100, and subscriptions £57.
Wages and travelling expenses were £965. Total expenditure was £1,373.
In his report, Mr. P. Harrison, secretary-manager, said the team had collected 15 points of the last 28 in the Midland League. He was hoping to re-sign most of the members of the present team.
Officials were elected follows :—President, Mr. L. C. Hodges; secretary manager, Mr. P. Harrison; financial secretary, Mr. A. Davis
