Obituary – Sarah Ann Johnson
The death occurred on Monday of Mrs. Sarah Ann Johnson, Ravenfield Street, Denaby Main, aged 57, whose youngest daughter, Miss Ivy Johnson, died a fortnight ago.
Her husband was killed in the explosion at Cadeby, and she leaves two sons and three daughters. The funeral took place at Denaby on Wednesday, and was conducted by the Rev. J. Ellis Robinson. Members of the Mothers’ Union attended and sang hymns at the graveside.
The chief mourners were: Mr. S. Johnson, Mr. W. Johnson (sons), Mr. and Mrs. G. Willis, Mr. and Mrs. J. Garside (sons-in-law and daughters), Miss F. Johnson (daughter), Mrs. M. Johnson (mother-in-law), Mr. Pugh (brother), Mrs. H. Johnson, Mrs. F. Sheldon, and Mrs. F. Goulding (sisters-in-law), the Misses Nellie and Dora Goulding (nieces). Messrs. Mrs. Peaks (cousin).
The bearers were S. Peaks, S, Moron, F. and W. Moseley. Mr. E. Downing, Conisboro’, was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
