For National Savings Next.

Conisbrough Plea to Coronation Workers.

Mr, J. F. Jones, M.B.E. (Dearne), Yorkshire South West Savings Constituency Member, suggested at Conisbrough Local Savings Committee meeting on Tuesday that after the Coronation, enthusiasts who were acting as collectors for street Coronation celebrations might be asked to continue as collectors in their groups for national savings.

Mrs. Waters said that most of the people who were contributing to Coronation festivities in her area had promised to buy saving stamps after the Coronation.

Mr. Jones said he thought there would be a call for a special savings campaign in 1954.

The chairman. Coun. D Sheldon, J. P., remarked that they had done a remarkable job in Conisbrough. During the last two or three years there had not been the same enthusiasm as there used to be, but they were saving more than they used to do in the old days.

Mr. Jones commented the result of work that has been put in the past.

Coun. Sheldon said that Conisbrough must keep their flag flying; they could not afford to allow their reputation to go down.
