Denaby Maintain Splendid Record against Scarborough
Scarborough 3 Denaby United 3
Denaby United maintained their remarkable record of immunity from defeat by Scarborough in the Midland League yesterday, when they drew 3 – 3 at Scarborough.
At one time the visitors looked certain to win, being two goals ahead at the interval, but Scarborough stage a remarkable recovery, and in the end were unlucky not to win.
In the first half, which Denaby were slightly the better, Diggle saved a penalty by Burkinshaw (Scarborough) in brilliant fashion.
Adam scored whilst the home defence stood appealing, Clayton equalised, Hagger restored the Denaby lead with a fine goal, and Black got an easy third.
