Sad News
Mr. and Mrs. T. Gibney, of 4, Ravenfleld Street, Denaby Main, have this week received the sad news of thel loss of their only son, A/c.(firist class) T. .M. Gibney, who has died as the result of a motoring accident in India.
They received a telegram dated December 29th from the Air Ministry informing them of the accident, and that he had received a fracture of the skull in a motorcycle accident and had been removed to hospital. On Sunday news came though by express telegram from the Air Ministry deeply regretting to inform them that he was reported to have died on December 29th as a result of the accident.
A/c. Gibney was 22, and had been in the R.A.F. for three years, and took oart in the Battle of Britain in the London area. He was transferred to India in October of last year. Prior to enlistment he was employed in London, having taken up work there in the hotels at the age of 14 ½ under the scheme run by the Ministry of Labour.

Sacred memories of a dearly loved Sun, Thomas Michael Gibney, who died December 20th, 1943, aged 22 years, through injuries received in the course of his duties whilst serving with the R.AF. in India.
At rest with his beloved_Sister, Patricia, who was taken from us January 19th, 1927, aged 4 years.
Though their smile has gone for ever,
And their voice we cannot hear,
We shall never lose sweet memories,
Of those we loved so dear.
