Denaby Yield Home Points
Denaby United 0 R.A.S.C. 2
Denaby United in their home game with R.A.S.C. showed an improvement but the forward line was not satisfactory. In Howe, Meddlicott and Hodkins they have a sound defence. Briggs and Perkins, two new half backs, did well, but Roddis and Farrell were the best of the forwards. R.A.S.C. were best served by Gadsby, Milburn, Glover, Dewis and Calverley.
Three minutes from half-time Dewis caught the defence napping when he raced on to shoot past the advancing Denaby goalkeeper. Soon after resuming R.A.S.C. applied pressure which brought another goal. Meddlicott putting through his own goal.
Denaby had hard luck on several occasions and were unfortunate not to score.
