Mr. A. E. Haigh
Former Denaby Factory Manager
The death occurred on Tuesday of Mr. Albert Ernest Haigh of Tenter Lane, Warmsworth, formerly Local General Manager of the British Westfalite factory at Denby Main.
Mr Haigh, who was 60, joined the staff of the factory as a clerk in 1900, and when he retired owing to ill health in 1936 he had been manager for some ten years. Before going to live at Warmsworth he had lived at Denaby Main and Mexborough. For a time he held the position of organist at Frickley Parish Church and he was a Freemason and an Honorary Member of the Rockingham Lodge, Swinton.
He is survived by a widow and two sons.
The elder son, Norman, has been invalided out of the Army and the younger, Kenneth, who is in the R.A.F. was drafted abroad shortly before his father’s death. The funeral takes place to-day (Friday) at Warmsworth at 2-30 p.m.
