Missing
Mr. and Mrs. E. Jones of 20, Fullerton Avenue, Conanby, have been officially informed that their youngest son, Sgt. Walter Jones, R.A.F., is missing as a result of air operations.
He joined the Air Force in November 1942, and did all his training in this country. He has been on operational duty as a bomb aimer for the last six months.
Up to the time of his enlistment he was a signalman at Cadeby Colliery, and by volunteering for flying duties he was able to obtain his release from the industry.
His eldest brother Emest. has been in the Army for 13 years, and is at present in North Africa.
Mr. Jones is an old soldier, and served throughout the last war.
