A Denaby Woman Summoned For Assault.
Hannah Hinchcliffe, Denaby, was summoned for having assaulted Mark Thompson, on the 8th inst. at Denaby.
The case for the complainant was that the defendant came up to him and struck him on the head. He had been very ill ever since.
The defendant both admitted and denied that she assaulted the boy Thompson.
She said that he and three other lads had been amusing themselves by throwing stones at her back door. She desired them to desist, and although very young children they retaliated by calling her an old b—r.
She got vexed and having caught the lad, who was six years old, she boxed his ears, and he fell against the wall.
Fined 20s including costs
