Henry Wright, shopkeeper, of Conisbro’ , was fined 5s. and costs, for having scales on his premises over an ounce against the purchaser.
For a similar offence, Elizabeth Watts, of the same place, was fined 2s. 6d. and costs, but it appeared that she had made some effort to regulate her scales.
