Fatal Boat Accident At Denaby
Yesterday a boy named Michael Mammon, aged eight years, was drowned at Denaby. The lad was sailing in a boat belonging to the Denaby Coal Company on the river near the Coal Staithes, along with a number of others.
When they reached the river side, one of the occupants, named Ellis Snape, jumped ashore. By the sudden shifting of the boat Mammon lost his balance, fell into the river, and was drowned.
