Felony at Mexbro’.

A woman named Eliza Hines, and her son, Geo. Leadbeater, both living at Mexbro’, were on Saturday, at Doncaster, each committed for three months’ imprisonment for stealing a silver Geneva watch and chain, the property of Joseph Brown, pony driver at Denaby Main Colliery.

The son stole the watch from the bedroom in which the prosecutor slept (he occupying the same bed), and whilst in the police cell at Mexbro’, the mother called the inspector, and said, “I might as well make a clean breast of it. I got both the watch and chain from my son.”
