Concert at Mexbro’.

On Tuesday night an excellent concert was given in Waddington’s Assembly Rooms, on behalf of the Denaby Main Sick and Accident Fund. Mr. W. H. Chambers, the esteemed manager of the Denaby Main Colliery, presided, and after some choice remarks commenced the programme.

Other performances included a pianoforte solo (Mr. Beardsley), readings (Dr. Sykes), a cornet solo (Mr. North), a dulcimer solo (Mr. Parkes), airs on the melodeon and concertina with dance (Mr. Parkes), and additional songs by Mr. E. Beardsley.
