Capture of a Snake at Denaby.
On Saturday, a collier, named George Henshaw, and two sons of a farmer, named Samuel Howard, were walking through Denaby Wood when they came across a large snake.
One of the party carried a farm fork, which he immediately thrust into the back of the serpent, which soon received its quietus.
It was found to measure nearly five feet in length, and is similar, though much larger, to one found near the same place about five years ago.
