Education Cases.
John Oates, Denaby, was charged with neglecting to send his child to school regularly.
Mr. Smith, school attendance officer, said the defendant’s child, Terence, aged eleven, out of a possible 105 had only made 63 attendances. The child had not passed a single standard.
Defendant’s wife said the boy had been suffering from slow fever.
A penalty of 6d. and 2s. 6d. costs was imposed.
