Conisborough School Board

A meeting of this board was held in the board-room on Thursday evening last. Present, Dr. Hiles (Chairman), Messrs. Walker, Nicholson, and Kilner.

The principal business was the appointment of a head master for the Boys’ School, in the place of Mr. Ferdinand, who had tendered his resignation.

No less than 115 had replied to the advertisement, several local names appearing amongst the list of candidates.

Mr. Snipe, late of Conisborough, and at present an assistant master under the Stockton-on-Tees School Board, was ultimately appointed.
