Four Generations
A Denaby Family In Canada

Here is a very interesting group, comprising four generations and including three regular readers of the “South Yorkshire Times.” The group includes Mrs. J. Beal, her daughter (Mrs. B. Milnes), her granddaughter (Mrs. G. W. Jordan), and her great grand-daughter (Leone Adelle Jordan). Mrs. Beal and her husband and the family emigrated to Canada nearly 30 years ago from Denaby.

The daughters and son were ardent workers for the church in Denaby, assisting in the Sunday school and with the Church Operatic Society. Mrs. B. Milnes (Miss Mary Beal) married first Mr. Andrew Goodwin (now deceased), the father of Mrs. Jordan. who was a member of another Denaby family who emigrated about the same time as the Beals. Her present husband, Mr. Ben Manes. is a son of the late Mr. G. H. Milnes and Mrs. Milnes. of Wheatley Street. Denaby Main. The photograph is sent from Alberta, Canada, where the family are now settled.
