Conisborough School Board
The usual monthly meeting of this Board was held in the Board-room, Conisborough, yesterday evening, Dr. Ellis in the chair. Other members present—Messrs. Kilner, Wigfall, Walker, and Grower.
On the notice of Mr. Kilner, seconded by Mr. Wigfall, the minutes of the last meeting were confirmed. The deeds for transfer of the old school site and the new one were signed and sealed.
Cheques signed as follow: School account, £10; salaries, £3 3s.; gas, and law, £48 14s.
The long-vexed question of dealing with the cottage property of the Board was again brought forward. After some discussion, it was resolved that all previous resolutions in reference to the sale of the cottage property be rescinded.
This motion was moved by Mr. Kilner, and seconded by Mr. Wigfall.
On the motion of Mr. Grower, seconded by Mr. Walker, it was resolved that the Board offer the cottage and site in the corner of the churchyard to the Conisboro’ Burial Board at the sum of £150, with the consent of the Education Department. A deputation from the Burial Board waited upon the School Board, and agreed to accept the site, on the terms offered by them.
