Amateur Theatricals at Denaby Main
Last evening a concert was given at the Reresington Street School, Denaby Main, before a large audience, on behalf of the Mexborough and Doncaster Hospitals.
The first part was devoted to miscellaneous pieces, contributions being made by Mrs. Warwick Husband, Miss Roberts, and Messrs. W. H. Chambers, Husband, T. Bartram, A. Jones, A. F. Bott, P. H. Longbottom, H. J. Meacock, and Dr. McCall.
The second part was devoted to a representation of the farce, “A Kiss in the Dark,” in which the characters were sustained by Mrs. Lewis Jones, Mrs. Warwick Husband, Miss Norwood, Mr. W. W. Norwood, and Mr. C. F. Marsh.
The piece was very cleverly acted, and provoked a deal of laughter and applause. The whole affair was an entire success.
