He Wanted to Fight the World

Bertie Beevers, collier, Denaby, was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on June 2nd. P.C. Evans proved the case, and the Bench imposed a fine of 2s. and costs or 14 days.

Drunkenness

Edward Hill, miner, Denaby, was summoned for being drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on June 6th. Defendant did not appear. P.C. Hurst and Sergt. Ambler stated that they found the defendant drunk on the Thursday night in question. He was swearing at the top of his lungs and was carried away. P.C. Evans corroborated, and the defendant was fined 5s. and 10s. costs.<
