Drunk on Licensed Premises at Denaby.
John Hagan, a miner, of New Conisboro’, was summoned for having been drunk on licensed premises, viz., the Denaby Main Hotel, on the 18th April.—P.C. Kilner proved the case. He saw the defendant who was in a drunken condition go into the Denaby Main Hotel. He went in and saw defendant against the bar. He went out when ordered.—Defendant, who did not appear, was fined 5s. and the costs.
For a similar offence, committed at Denaby at the same date, John Hunt, a miner, of Rotherham, was fined 2s. 6d. and the costs.—P.S. Oliver proved the case.
Obscene Language at Conisboro’.
For having used obscene language at Conisboro’ on the 18th April, George Shaw, a miner of that place, was fined 10s. and 12s. costs.
No Light at Mexboro’.
Edward Sargeant, a ’bus driver, of Mexboro’, was summoned for driving a vehicle without a light on the 18th April.—Defendant pleaded guilty.—P.C. Lawson was on duty in Church Street when he met the defendant, who was driving a ’bus with no light.—He was fined 2s. 6d. and the costs, 6s.
The Rabies Order.
The following persons were ordered to pay 10s., including costs, for allowing their dogs to roam at large without having a collar on with the owner’s name inscribed:—William Little, labourer, Bentley; Walter Nicholson, painter, Mexboro’; John Roberts, miner, Denaby; John Watson, blacksmith, Mexboro’; and Maddra Jenkinson, miner, Goldthorpe.
