Co-operative Society.
As previously reported, the shop and goods known as the Denaby Main Stores were taken over by the members of that recently formed Co-operative Society.
Rules of the Society have been submitted to the Registrar of Friendly Societies for England, and it is expected that in a few days all arrangements will be complete and the Society registered.
Even in its present state, when many are waiting to see whether it is a success or not, great progress has been made, and the trade has greatly improved.
On first taking over the business a large stride was made, while the fifth week’s receipts have exceeded those of the first week by more than £20.
Confidence is gradually being established, and there is no doubt that in a short time the Denaby Main Industrial Co-operative Society will be a very flourishing one.
