Another Case at Conisboro’

George Dawson, labourer, Conisboro’, was charged with using threats towards his wife, Mary Ann Dawson, who alleged her husband did not work three months in a year and expected her to work daily.

He came home repeatedly drunk and used threats, such as “I’ll shoot you,” and “I’ll set fire to your pigsty.”

He was very bad when in drink, and witness had grown afraid of him.

These statements were corroborated by the son, and defendant, who did not appear, was ordered to pay the costs and bound over to keep the peace.
