Conisboro’ Convalescent Home Scheme
At a meeting at the Fox Inn on November 4th, the secretary, Mr. H. Fowler, submitted the following balance sheet, which was considered satisfactory. It was also decided to have a grand concert in January, 1904.
Seven nominations have been received from Southport at a cost of £11 11s.; two recommendations for Bridlington, £2 2s.; two for Scarbro’, £1 1s., which have been used by eight residents.
Grants of £4 13s. and other small expenses bring the expenditure to £20 15s. 5d. Our Saturday collection realised £4 9s., and we have also received a grant of £1 1s. from the Pride of Conisboro’ Lodge, and £2 2s. we want from the Conisboro’ Castle five o’clock Lodge.
We are very much indebted to Mr. J. Crossland for the great interest he has taken in the scheme, he having obtained in subscriptions £19 6s. We are indebted also to the members of the Conisboro’ United Brass Band for their free services rendered at the Saturday afternoon collection.
We have £4 8s. 4d. in hand.
