At Denaby Main, in ideal weather, moderate attendance. Hinckley claimed advantage in the opening exchanges, Warren scoring a clever goal. Directly afterwards Hodgkinson scored a second, the teams crossing over with the home team two goals in arrears.
Denaby pressed on the resumption, Ryans in midfield missing a fine chance. Biggs then scored a beautiful goal, and Westwood equalised in a melee.
Subsequently Hinckley pressed, missing a good chance, and Hodgkinson again scored wretchedly.
Ultimately Mee scored for Hinckley.
Result: Hinckley, 3 goals; Denaby United, 2 goals.
