Denaby’s Plans
The Tennis Section of the Denaby Cricket, Tennis and Bowls Club will turn out four teams this season all in the Mexborough and District Association. Men’s teams will play in Divisions One and Two, whilst there will be a team in the Mixed Section and in the Ladies’ Section.
The Men’s sections were the champions of their divisions last season and are out to emulate those feats, now that they cannot obtain entry to the Sheffield Association. There is a membership of about 50, but E. Morgan and R. Whimpenny have left to join Mexborough.
The secretary is Mr. J. Humphries, of West Street, Conisborough and Mr. Glendinning is match secretary, with Mr. J. Nimrod the ground committee representative. Matches commence in a fortnight.
