Retiring
Retiring to-morrow (Saturday) after working at Cadeby Colliery for 51 years is Mr. Jack Kitching, of 38, Braithwell Street, Denaby.
Mr. Kitching, who is 65, has been a banksman at the colliery for 21 years. After leaving Morley Place School, Mr. Kitching began work in the colliery brickyard, and later in the saw mill. He has been a member of Denaby St. John Ambulance Brigade for 18 years and is also a member of Denaby Main Institute.
Mr. Kitching, who is married, has seven sons, two daughters and 15 grandchildren. He plans to spend most of his time during his retirement working on his allotment near the Fullerton Hospital. He is a great flower grower.
