Four Generations
Denaby Family in Canada
Here is a very interesting group comprising four generations, including three regular readers of the “South Yorkshire Times.”
The group includes Mrs. J. Beal, her daughter (Mrs. B. Milnes) her granddaughter (Mrs. G. W. Jordan) and her great-granddaughter (Leone Adelle Jordan). Mrs Beal, and her husband and family emigrated to Canada nearly 30 years ago from Denaby.
The daughters and son were ardent workers for the Church in Denaby, assisting with the Sunday School and the Church Operatic Society. Mrs. B. Milnes (Miss Mary Beal) married first Mr. Andrew Goodwin (now deceased)., the father of Mrs. Jordan who was a member of another Denaby family who emigrated the same time as the Beal’s. Her present husband, Mr. Ben Milnes, is a son of the late Mr. G. H. Milnes and Mrs. Milnes of Wheatley Street, Denaby Main. The photograph is sent from Alberta, Canada, where the family are now settled.
