Named After Councillors
Two streets on the Denaby Avenue housing site at Conisbrough are to be named “Gomersall Avenue” and “Oldfield Avenue” in recognition of “the valuable services rendered to the community” by Coun. George Oldfield and Coun. Harry Gomersall.
This decision was reached by Conisbrough Urban Council on Monday in accordance with a Housing Committee recommendation.
