Game Trespass at Denaby

James Walters, miner, of Denaby, was charged with trespassing in pursuit of game on land belonging to the Rev. A. Fullerton on 14 December 1869.

Thomas Heeson, gamekeeper, said he saw several men ferreting; all ran away except Walters, who had a ferret in a hole.

Walters was fined 20s and costs, or one month’s imprisonment in default.
