The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

The board then proceeded to the election of an attendance officer in the place of Mr. Downs, resigned. The applications were as follows:—

On the motion of Mr. Kilner, seconded by Dr. Hills, Mr. George Harrison was appointed, at a salary of £15 per annum.

Mr. Downs was called into the room, and, on behalf of the board, the Chairman most cordially thanked Mr. Downs for the most efficient and creditable manner in which he had invariably performed his duties for such a length of time, and the board was extremely sorry that his present state of health would not allow of him retaining the office still longer.

Cheques were signed, amounting to £211 17s. 6d., and the board adjourned.
