An Indistinct Name-Plate
George Appleyard, farmer, of Conisborough, was charged with allowing a cart to be used without his name painted on it, at Conisborough, on October 14th.
P.C. Trueman said the cart had a name-plate upon it, but it was very indistinct and impossible to read it.
Defendant said he was not aware that the name was so indistinct or he would have had it remedied. The man in charge of the cart had not reported the matter to him.
The summons was dismissed upon payment of costs.
